EMA has today published a best practice guide for companies seeking parallel scientific HTA advice, which gives a comprehensive overview of the current process. A separate report on the pilot phase highlights that 63 parallel scientific advice have taken place since 2010, with demand tripling in 2015. Also in 70% of cases, one development program could satisfy the needs of both regulators and HTA bodies.
