Paracetamol and ibuprofen combinations (up to 500mg paracetamol and 200mg ibuprofen per dose, a maximum of 10g paracetamol and 4g ibuprofen per pack), bilastine, levodropropizine and dexibuprofen (up to 200mg per dose and a maximum of 4g per pack) are set to become available in pharmacies without a prescription. A corresponding amendment was made to the Drug Prescription Ordinance (Arzneimittelverschreibungsverordnung) and published in the Federal Gazette, effective from 1st March 2022. The change was approved by the Federal Council (Bundesrat) in February 2022.
